kidsPupils are accepted on the premise that they will apply themselves according to the ability which God has given them, conform to all rules and regulations of the school, and accept instruction in religious teachings as set forth in the Lutheran Church. New students are admitted on a nine-week conditional status, during which time a final determination regarding continued enrollment will be made. The continued enrollment of any student experiencing academic or disciplinary problems will be determined by both the principal and teacher after consultation with the parents.

The age requirements for admission to St. Mark’s are identical to the requirements of the State of Florida. There are no exceptions, and a copy of the birth certificate is required.

The requirements are as follow:

  • 3-Year Program 3 years old by September 1
  • 4-Year Pre-Kindergarten 4 years old by September 1
  • 5-Year Kindergarten 5 years old by September 1

All students must be toilet-trained.

State of Florida and Broward County laws require that all children entering our school submit up-to-date health forms showing that all requirements have been met. Students will not be allowed to attend classes unless the required forms are on file on the first day of the school year. The law requires all children entering kindergarten to have proof of required immunizations. A tuberculosis test, with results indicated, is also required.

enroll nowRegistration begins in February of each year for new families and continues through the school year until a class reaches capacity. Applications will be processed as they are received. Once all the necessary paperwork is complete, the principal or his representative will schedule an interview with the parents of 3K and 4K students. Students applying for kindergarten will be scheduled for an admissions test. A testing fee will be required at the time of the test. On completion of the test, the principal or his representative will schedule an interview with the parents. Another prerequisite for enrollment is our receipt of a favorable recommendation from the child’s previous school. Upon acceptance, the registration fee must be paid in full within 15 days. Registration fees are non-refundable, unless the student moves out of the tri-county area before the school year begins. In such a case, a $130.00 handling fee will be charged and the balance refunded.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other administered programs.
